Wolf Series: Story Generator (1985) Geoff Davis / Micro Arts Group
My ‘pioneering’ text generation software creates unsettling variations on a seed story about animal insurrection. It replaces words from Davis’s original story “Cow Boils Head” with themed synonyms, generating new narratives at a hypnotic pace. The overall story system creates layered stories, which can be read collectively, in memory. Written in BASIC for the ZX Spectrum microcomputer in 1985 – 40 years ago.
