CLOWN EGG POEM
Background:
"Fizzie Lizzie (above left) is Clowns International's Gallery Co-ordinator, spearheading the campaign to save, renovate and expand their collection of clown memorabilia, including the exquisite original clown egg collection. These clown eggs are created to claim copyright for the particular face, hair and make-up, and comprise a record of many performers.
When she started clowning, it was a very male-dominated sphere, with few female role models. Her interest began with the rise of non-animal, human circuses and the establishment of training opportunities within this field. Coming from a drama school background, she went on to explore eccentric dance, mime, juggling, tumbling and singing.
Fizzie Lizzie achieved the first UK BA Honours Clown degree. She loves to raise spirits, spread happiness and encourage laughter."
